Are You a Strong Fitter and a Welder?

We are looking for an experienced Welder-Fitter / Metal Fabricator who can independently read drawings, fit assemblies, and weld structural and miscellaneous steel components to a high standard.

This is not a production welding position.

We are seeking someone who can take fabrication drawings and build finished products such as staircases, railings, platforms, mezzanines, and custom structural steel assemblies with minimal supervision.

What You'll Build

Our projects include:

• Structural steel assemblies
• Staircases and stair systems
• Handrails and guardrails
• Platforms and access structures
• Mezzanines
• Custom steel fabrications

Every project is different. This is hands-on custom fabrication work.

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Perform layout, fitting, and assembly of steel components
• Fabricate directly from shop drawings with minimal supervision
• Weld using GMAW (MIG), MCAW, FCAW and GTAW (TIG) processes
• Verify dimensions and maintain quality standards
• Operate fabrication equipment including an ironworker, press brake, shear, plasma cutting equipment, and oxy-fuel equipment
• Use overhead cranes and material handling equipment safely

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of fabrication shop experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Experience fitting steel assemblies from drawings
• Experience welding fabricated assemblies
• Ability to fabricate independently with minimal supervision
• Experience building structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals

Preferred Qualifications

• CWB certification
• Red Seal Metal Fabricator or Welder
• MIG, MCAW, FCAW, and TIG welding experience
• Forklift or material handling certifications

Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overtime paid after 44 hours/week
