About Vanguard Terra

Vanguard Terra is a year-round indoor vertical farming company in Saskatchewan specializing in premium fresh herbs and leafy greens. Using advanced controlled environment agriculture (CEA) technology, we produce fresh, locally grown food for retailers, food service customers, and consumers across Western Canada.

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our growing production team.

No previous farming experience is required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who enjoy hands-on work in a clean, technology-driven agricultural environment.

Position Summary

Production Team Members assist with the daily operation of our indoor vertical farm.

Working under the direction of the Controlled Environment Farm Operations Manager, team members support all stages of crop production, including:

• Seeding
• Germination
• Transplanting
• Harvesting
• Packaging
• Sanitation
• General farm operations

This is an active position requiring attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Crop Production

• Seed and prepare crop trays
• Assist with germination and transplanting activities
• Move crops between production areas
• Monitor crops and report concerns to management

Harvest & Packaging

• Harvest herbs and lettuce according to quality standards
• Package products for retail and food service customers
• Apply labels and ensure packaging accuracy
• Prepare orders for shipment and distribution

Facility Operations

• Clean and sanitize production equipment
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Follow food safety and quality procedures
• Assist with routine facility maintenance tasks

Team Support

• Work collaboratively with production staff
• Follow standard operating procedures
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Preferred

• Experience in agriculture, greenhouse production, food production, warehousing, manufacturing, or retail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in a production environment
