Our client located in Vaughan is currently looking for an experienced candidate to fill the role of Commercial Lines Account Executive.  

The Commercial Lines Broker is responsible for providing support
to clients on a day-to-day basis and helps our clients choose appropriate insurance coverage to manage risks and protect their assets. They successfully manage and grow a specific book of business focusing on building relationships and trust, while delivering expertise and excellent customer service. Other duties include, but are not limited to, reviewing existing policy renewals, file reviews, cross selling our products and services, facilitating policy changes, claims reporting and advocacy.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Outperform on customer expectations by adhering to service level agreements with respect to endorsements, renewals and new business quotations.
  • Ensure policies are fully reviewed and documented with a focus on proper coverage and underwriting compliance.
  • Leverage opportunities to round out current accounts by cross selling other lines of
    business or products
  • Capitalize on any new business opportunities (referral or from your center of influence) to write new business
  • Support the sales team in the growth and retention of their book of business.
  • Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Build relationships with client group
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and offer advice that helps them make informed decisions

 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years experience in the same role, specifically with commercial clients
  • Current RIBO license in good standing
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated sales drive and ability to create your own sales leads – you love the hunt!
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills
  • You are an incredible colleague – you build relationships, work collaboratively and help create a great place to work everyday
  • Motivated self-starters with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong customer focus and proven record of delivering excellence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage completing tasks and deadlines successfully
  • Experience with Broker Management Systems including but not limited to TAM, HubSpot, Applied Rating Services and Policy Works or similar
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
