Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Paint Shop Supervisor to join our growing team. This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start date. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated abilities.

The Paint Shop Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the paint facility, including those outlined below.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Staff scheduling and workforce coordination
  • Training, mentoring, and coaching team members
  • Production planning and scheduling
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety requirements and driving continuous safety improvements
  • Maintaining adherence to project-specific and company-wide quality standards
  • Assisting in the development and improvement of paint system infrastructure and internal processes
  • Monitoring consumable and material inventory and coordinating reordering with the Purchasing Department
  • Supporting efficient communication and workflow between departments
  • Assisting Project Management with paint specification selection for projects
  • Ensuring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current and that the paint shop remains fully compliant with all requirements
  • Overseeing routine maintenance of paint shop equipment and arranging external service support when required

 

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or managing a small team
  • Experience with industrial painting would be an asset
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
  • A commitment to safe work practices, policies, and procedures
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage: $28.00–$35.00 per hour
  • Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate
  • 6% vacation pay and 4% general holiday pay paid on each paycheque
