We are a busy renovation contractor looking for an experienced Carpenter / Lead Hand who enjoys wearing many hats and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. This role is ideal for someone who can work hands-on while also helping oversee projects, coordinate subcontractors, and keep jobs moving efficiently.
On smaller renovation projects, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks including framing, drywall, painting, trim work, finishing, and general carpentry.
On larger projects, you will focus on your strongest skills while coordinating and managing subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
We are looking for a well-rounded carpenter who can both frame and finish. Additional skills such as drywall, tiling, plumbing, painting, flooring, or general renovation experience are highly valued. The more skills you bring, the better — although we understand no one does it all.
Responsibilities
- Perform framing, finishing, trim, and general carpentry work
- Complete renovation tasks independently and as part of a team
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors on larger projects
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism
- Ensure projects remain organized, efficient, and on schedule
- Communicate effectively with management, clients, and trades
- Assist with site organization, material management, and quality control
Requirements
- Strong renovation and carpentry experience
- Ability to both frame and finish
- Experience managing or coordinating subcontractors is an asset
- Installation of plumbing fixtures, cabinets, bathroom accessories, door hardware and general handyman duties.
- Knowledge of multiple trades is highly preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work throughout Mississauga and the West GTA
