Position Summary
The Commercial Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics involved in the distribution of commercial building supply products from the time the purchase order is received to assuring customer satisfaction after the job has closed.
Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders and review for accuracy to ensure that material requirements have been met.
- Coordinate with customers and the branch regarding timing, delivery, and requirements needed. Follow-up as needed to ensure delivery times and dates are communicated.
- Coordinate delivery of material from the vendor to our warehouse or direct to job site where applicable.
- Collaborate with sales and tapered teams to verify pricing and complete sales orders.
- Maintain stock levels and create purchase orders for vendors as required.
- Follow up with customer to ensure complete satisfaction after job has been closed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience working in the roofing or building materials industry in a sales or customer service position.
- Strong knowledge of various roofing systems and construction is preferred.
- Professional communication skills with a proficiency in English, both oral and written, is required.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills to manage numerous projects.
- Ability to travel as required.
