Job Title: Electroless Nickel Plater

Location: Etobicoke, ON

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $20.00-$26.00

Shift: 8:00am-4:00pm or 11:00pm-7:00am

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electroless Nickel Plater to join our manufacturing and metal finishing operation in Etobicoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining electroless nickel plating processes to ensure consistent, high-quality coatings that meet customer and industry specifications.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor electroless nickel plating lines in accordance with established procedures
  • Prepare parts for plating, including cleaning, rinsing, activation, and masking as required
  • Maintain and control bath chemistry, including temperature, pH, concentration, and replenishment
  • Perform routine testing and adjustments to ensure coating thickness, uniformity, and adhesion
  • Inspect plated parts for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications
  • Troubleshoot plating issues such as poor adhesion, uneven deposits, contamination, or bath imbalance
  • Conduct routine maintenance and housekeeping of plating tanks, filtration systems, and work areas
  • Accurately complete production, quality, and bath maintenance records
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to chemical handling and waste management
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production schedules

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electroless nickel plating
  • Strong understanding of electroless nickel bath chemistry and process control
  • Experience working in a metal finishing or plating environment
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and quality standards
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment (micrometers, thickness gauges, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Working Conditions

  • Industrial plating environment with exposure to chemicals, heat, and moisture
  • Standing for extended periods and manual handling of parts
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
