Starting Wage: $60,000/year (flexible based on experience)

Why Join Us?
Our South Island office is looking for a motivated Dispatch Support team member to join our growing waste management operation. This role is based out of our D.L.’s Bins & Pan-insula location at 6588 Bryn Road, Saanichton, BC.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday. Generally, your hours would be 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. but may require occasional flexibility to start earlier or leave later to support business needs (8-hour days). From time to time, you may be asked to support operations or logistics at one of our other locations. Any required travel expenses will be covered.

What You’ll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Answering customer calls and emails, responding to new and existing inquiries, and helping finalize sales.
- Scheduling and coordinating bin deliveries, exchanges, live loads, pickups, as well as supporting residential & commercial routed pickups.
- Dispatching trucks using phone, dispatch software, and two-way radio.
- Working with the Lead Dispatcher to plan and prioritize the next day’s schedule.
- Communicating daily schedules and driver assignments clearly and efficiently.
- Adjusting driver schedules for special requests, absences, or last-minute changes.
- Working closely with all Supervisors to ensure trucks and dispatch are organized each morning.
- Supporting drivers with transportation software and troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensuring driver paperwork is completed correctly and submitted on time.
- Reviewing and auditing completed jobs (closing routes).
- Seeking and presenting continuous improvement initiatives as it pertains to dispatching processes and tracking systems. making sure safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Reporting performance or conduct concerns to the Logistics/Transportation Manager.
- Keeping the dispatch office and site clean and organized.
- Assisting the Logistics/Transportation Manager and other managers as needed.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
