JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this classification is to purchase and maintain inventory for assigned department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepares quotes and enters requisitions into computer systems for supplies, hardware and other materials necessary for the for CCWA end users. Works with vendors to receive quotes. Submits any necessary documentation to vendors for purchasing and new vendor setup; assists management with bid specifications; and ensures an adequate supply of inventory items.
Collects and reviews purchase order receipts; verifies correctness of purchase orders; reconciles with accounts payable any cost variances; and follows up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Assists with asset/inventory management by ensuring that system is updated with new or removed equipment and documenting asset numbers as required.
Administers application to monitor contract expiration dates and serves as departmental representative to work with external partners for any renewals and extensions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK
High School or GED required; supplemented by one (1) year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all CCWA or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position.
Specific License or Certification Required:
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is required to lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting requirements being up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions including dealing with the public.
