Assembly Supervisor - Production Department

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Report to the Manufacturing Manager
- Supervise the operations of the Assembly Department
- Ensure employees are aware of all safety requirements and instructs them in the Health & Safety Program
- Prepare work schedules, makes work assignments for employees and sets work deadlines
- Inspect work in progress and completed to ensure conformance to specifications and adherence to quality standards
- Maintain ISO-9001 Standards as they relate to manufacturing
- Attend weekly production meetings and reports on work in progress
- Provide labour estimates for manufacturing
- Responsible for the hiring or termination of all personnel in the machine shop
WHO YOU ARE:
- Experience within specific skilled trade manufacturing heavy equipment with leadership responsibilities
- Certified Millwright, Mechanic and/or equivalent training/experience
- Effective leadership and team-building skills
- Solid technical understanding of the equipment being manufactured
- Sense of urgency, highly responsive and oriented towards action
- Able to work overtime
