Seltrek Electric Ltd. is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with experience in multi-family residential construction to join our growing team. We specialize in residential and commercial electrical construction projects, delivering quality workmanship, reliable service, and a strong commitment to safety across Canada.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in multi-family new construction, a strong understanding of electrical codes and installation practices, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a productive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in multi-family residential construction projects.

• Complete rough-in, wiring, device installation, panel terminations, and finishing work in apartments and common areas.

• Install electrical components and systems in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable electrical codes.

• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.

• Identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively.

• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to maintain project schedules and workflow.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Follow company safety policies, site-specific requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.

• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project requirements.

• Support and provide guidance to apprentices as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Journeyman Electrician certification recognized in Alberta.

• Proven experience in multi-family residential new construction.

• Proven experience leading a crew, training apprentices 

• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, wiring methods, and applicable electrical codes.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.

• Commitment to safe work practices, quality workmanship, and meeting project deadlines.

• Reliable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with team members and other trades.
